    Katrina Adams

    Founder + Executive Director

    Katrina was born and raised in North Omaha. Despite moving away to attend college, and again to launch her career, she was drawn back by the realization that Omaha has always been home.

    Her commitment to North Omaha’s rich history and promising future led her to establish the POC Collaborative Community Resource Center where she serves as the Executive Director. In her previous roles, Katrina managed resident-led grantmaking and nonprofit capacity-building programs for a local foundation and provided support to Nebraska-based grassroots businesses.

    Additionally, Katrina is a co-owner of the former Native Omaha Club building (24th & Laird St) which is currently being redeveloped. It is scheduled to reopen in 2024 as the Greenwood Building.

    Operations Manager

    ENG: Olajide Cooper was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska though her interests have taken her to experiences domestically and abroad. With her background in multilingual education, clear communication and understanding are at the forefront of her community building approach. She is skilled at unearthing the talents in others while connecting them with the resources to aid in their growth.

    Olajide is passionate about supporting the dreams of people in her community. During her free time, you can find her engaging in one of her many hobbies which include everything from snowshoeing to sewing.

    Originally from rural South Carolina, Shawn is completing her PhD in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

    Throughout her career she has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to diversity and inclusion; developing and implementing community-centric programming spanning health coordination for incarcerated persons, projects within and serving rural communities, Veterans' and youth health and well-being, and nonprofit governance and capacity building.

  • Ayanna Boykins

    Board Member

    With a heavy involvement in nonprofits across the greater Omaha metropolitan area, Ayanna can be found lending her expertise in economic and leadership development. Professionally, she serves as the Economic Inclusion and Workforce Development Administrator for the Omaha Public Schools system leading economic inclusion and environmental stewardship initiatives.

    Out of her commitment to Omaha, she was recently inducted into the Omaha Northwest High School Hall of Fame and selected to participate in the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Leadership Omaha Class 28. Ayanna holds a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a Masters of Science in Urban Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

  • Charita Dailey

    Board Member

    Charged to spearhead change in Northeast Omaha, Charita is an alumna of Ohio State University and the University of Kansas, holding a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Educational Psychology.

    Currently serving as the Grants Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands, Charita also voluntarily serves as Director of Operations for Change of Omaha. Outside of her service work, Charita loves to travel, tend to her house plants and spend quality time with loved ones.

  • Moniki Gunn

    Board Member

    Moniki is a national speaker, development coach and consultant who focuses on developing the potential in people and improving team performance. She also serves as the Director of Employee Relations at Boys Town and is a Certified Gallup Strengths Performance Coach.

    Moniki holds a degree in Human Resources Management and a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership. Moniki’s personal mission and life’s work is to reach as many people as she can and provide an arsenal of information that allows individuals and teams to explode to the next level.

  • Karrissa Jyles

    Board Member

    Steered by a personal and professional passion for financial literacy, Karrissa is the Senior Lead Compliance Officer at Bank of the West. In her free time, she serves as a private consultant for BIPOC community members looking to regain control of their finances. A graduate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Karrissa received her Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management in 2021.

    Karrissa brings a wealth of experience in talent management, economic development, and grant management to the POC Collaborative. Outside of her work, she is active in her church, enjoys traveling with friends and binge-watching crime documentaries.

    Board Member

    Kenya Love's career spans various sectors including government, academia, and philanthropy. She has served as Director of Research & Evaluation at a local foundation and spent 12+ years working in local government, as a Robert Wood Johnson Evaluation Fellow for the National Cancer Institute's Office of Science Planning & Assessment, as well as the Community Health Program Manager for the Center for Reducing Health Disparities at UNMC.

    Ms. Love is dedicated to using culturally-responsive and equitable evaluation techniques, as well as liberatory and participatory approaches in her work. This ensures that racialized and marginalized communities are at the forefront of the development and implementation of programs aimed at addressing social, health, and racial inequities.

    Ms. Love is the Founder/Principal of J.H. Evaluation Core, LLC, where she conducts liberatory research and evaluation. She also assists community groups, government agencies, and nonprofits in addressing both historical and contemporary racial and ethnic injustices to create a society that fosters racial wellness. Ms. Love's ultimate objective is to transform the way society is structured along racial lines, power, and hierarchies.

    Board Member

    Dasha Sudar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of Iowa, and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Creighton University. Currently, she holds the role of Director of Annual Giving and Events at the CHI Health Foundation.

    Dasha has been active in grassroots and neighborhood focused groups in Omaha since moving here in 2010 and resides in the Benson Neighborhood. She is skilled in communications, community outreach, strategic planning, and connecting people to resources. Outside of her work, you can find Dasha hiking, practicing yoga, or at a sporting event cheering on the Creighton Blue Jays or Iowa Hawkeyes.

    Aaron Hill has a deep-rooted commitment to social impact. He has demonstrated strong advocacy for financial literacy and economic empowerment in communities of color, aligning seamlessly with our organization's mission.

    Mr. Hill has a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. He is experienced in federal income tax preparation, payroll tax preparation, QuickBooks, business plan preparation, budget planning, and audit organization.
